Cedar Waxwing, March 14, 2018

Wild Bird Wednesday and Wednesday Around The World

Booneville, Mississippi, USA, March 8, 2018
Cedar Waxwings, Bomhycilla cedrorum, are migratory birds that visit us here in the southern United States in the Winter. Their Summer breeding grounds are all across Canada and the northern parts of the United States. They eat small fruit, berries, and insects.

I hope you are having a wonderful week!

  6. One of my favorites that I rarely see. I think last time was in NH and they were devouring fruit on a tree outside daughter's home.
